Bracco Imaging aims to develop new imaging-based solutions addressing medical needs which are poorly met or unmet by the present technologies. The conditions addressed are in the areas of cardiovascular (e.g. vulnerable plaque), oncological (e.g. neoangiogenesis and some specific antigens) and degenerative diseases (e.g. rheumatoid arthritis). The goal is to provide the patient and his doctor with a more accurate diagnostic tool and the social community with a solution that positively impacts on the cost-benefit balance of the healthcare system.
Bracco Imaging is focused on:
- Improving the clinical outcome of patients through functional and molecular imaging agents and methods capable of:
- Supporting selection and modulation of targeted/personalised therapies;
- Guiding minimally invasive treatments and monitoring their efficacy over time.
- Developing patient management solutions with information technology tools for mining and handling Imaging & Patient Data in novel ways.
These solutions are aimed to improve diagnostic accuracy, individualise patient profiling, predict/monitor its evolution, and streamline hospital workflow.
