Bracco Imaging R&D Centers are located in the Science Park Colleretto Giacosa (Ivrea, Italy), in the high technology area of Plan-les-Ouates (Geneva, Switzerland) and in the biotech/academy town of Princeton (New Jersey, USA).
Bracco Imaging Research Centers

The Colleretto Giacosa Center manages development of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and X-Ray imaging agents, and delivers high-efficiency, low-impact manufacturing processes in its, state of the art, chemical and pharmaceutical pilot plants. It develops and supports world-wide all X-Ray and MRI products.
The Geneva Center, Bracco Research SA, has special expertise on lipid-based chemistry, physical chemistry of membranes and associated biology. It is focused on Contrast Enhanced Ultrasound (CEUS) imaging and on the development and support of Contrast Ultrasound products internationally. It also has special expertise in targeted drug delivery applications.
The Princeton Center, Bracco Research USA Inc., is focused on molecular imaging and new technologies. It is focused on early-stage discovery research underlying the conception of targeted molecular imaging agents in all modalities. It also supports all non-clinical development for nuclear medicine products.
Research Partnerships
Bracco Imaging fully recognises the value and potential of research coming from academia and start-up companies and the importance and the need of efficiently networking with them. To this purpose it has entered a number of research programmes in collaboration with prestigious university departments, hospital-based research centers and biotech companies in various parts of the World. Worthy of mention is the undertaken of a long-term early-stage research cooperation with three major institutions in Europe and North-America in the field of cardiovascular and degenerative diseases.
The continuous exchange of scientific experience and methods has considerably enriched Bracco Imaging's research programmes and strengthened its position as pro-active player in the international health-care community.
